Lockdown The Look: Mcgregor Style

"You can take on the world in a good suit." - Conor McGregor

The recipe for a good suit has always combined traditional craftsmanship and tailoring with contemporary styling… until now. Conor McGregor has tipped the balance and added a new dimension to mens styling.

Although a good suit didn’t help him take on the world of Mayweather Junior, McGregor has made waves in the tailoring scene. A particular pinstripe suit was the focus of a lot of attention in the first leg of the fight press tour. We decided against a recreation of this particular suit, opting for PG versions of the less brazen suits McGregor donned.

Always seen in a traditional five-piece suit, waistcoats and cummerbunds are the key to nailing McGregor’s style, along with using striking accessories and eye-catching prints and of course, the mandatory cufflink shirt. Here are a few of our choice picks to emulate the man himself.

THE RHYS

The Rhys is a very striking part of Paisley of London's collection. A bright blue check is perfectly fitting to Conor's personality; loud, stylish, and very much the centre of attention. The Rhys itself has been spotted in higher circles (check out this post to see!), so seems to be a fan favourite for those in the limelight.

THE CONOR NAVY

Lockdown this look with the Conor suit by Paisley of London. This slick windowpane check five-piece (check out our guide for suit patterns and fabrics here) ensemble will keep you bang on trend, and more popular then ever after McGregor's appearance in it. The crisp white herringbone shirt contrasts flawlessly with the rich navy suit colouring, with complimenting matt satin tie. The slim fit outfit is a style essential, perfect for statement dressing at any formal event.
