The first instalment in our Shop the Look series - a refined outfit offered up by Paisley of London.

A perfect look for any Spring/Summer event due to the lack of a jacket; although you can always wear one in anticipation of our pesky British summer evenings. Undeniably a head-turner – here’s the lowdown;

Standard navy formal trousers, of a slim fit, but skinny or regular cut work just as well. You can dress down with a pair of chinos, dark jeans, or even a pair of shorts on a lucky warm day. If you are so lucky, shorts match incredibly with boat shoes.

A crisp white shirt, although dependant on the formality of the occasion, you can switch this out for a short cuffed sleeve shirt. Wearing a regular fit shirt with braces tends to bunch up fabric on the lower torso so we definitely recommend slim for this look.

A continuation of our love for the old-time style, buckle up and clip down on those braces! These stripe-patterned, belt-replacements add colour and layers to the outfit, finished with dark brass clips keeping in line with the new-vintage theme. If you prefer wearing a belt, just match it to your chosen shoes.

Finally, a dickie bow to modernise this vintage look, playfully decorated with nautical themes, this is the perfect neck wear to be worn with boat shoes and chino shorts – a look we very much recommend and love to see for boys old and young.

Accessorise with a linen or woollen flat cap that matches the neck wear, and a discrete wrist watch that ideally matches the brace clips for a truly suave look – your boy will have all swooning before him, and you can’t blame them. In total this outfit will set you back just £55, not a bad price to pay for this look!
