The Dress Up

Infographic | Your complete guide to page boy suits

The role of a page boy is traditionally to carry the bride’s train or carry the rings down the aisle. Here's a few tips to make this experience go as smoothly as possible for parent, child and soon-to-be wed's.

There is no specific dress code for a page boy so your best bet is to pick something that fits with the rest of the wedding party, albeit a miniature version! Make sure you include them in the purchase, maybe show them pictures of the suits the groomsmen will be wearing, so they know they aren’t being forced into this due to mean parenting.

For any child aged eight and below, we’d recommend an adjustable waistband on the trousers and waistcoat. This is always a good idea, especially if the suit is bought in advance just to make sure it will fit on the day – don’t fall victim to the nightmare of the suit not fitting on the day.

We would recommend a waistcoat suit for a summer wedding, but just be sure to confirm this with the couple in case they do want a more formal appearance. In all, have some fun with it! The boy will usually love to dress like all the men in the wedding party and the adoring attention of all the women never goes amiss.
