Easy Easter Crafts & Ideas

Easter is fast approaching and that means you get to spend a week with your children over half term! Keep them busy with a few ideas we’ve put together for you.

1. Easy Origami Easter Bunnies

2. Egg colouring

This is a classic Easter pastime that is best enjoyed by younger children, but anyone can step up to the plate and add their own artistic spin! We’ve put together some quick templates that you can print out for a few minutes of fun.

3. Treasure Hunt

Another Easter treat that is guaranteed to create fond memories for you and your family. The beauty of a treasure hunt is that all ages can get involved. You can split the family into teams (top tip: the youngest with the oldest works great!) and let them loose. All it takes is a pen, some paper, little prizes and a bunch of imagination.

We suggest limiting the space so finders don’t go overboard e.g. “downstairs” or “Grandma’s garden”.

Write the clues according to the age of the kids. A good clue for an older child might be “Behind a place that has arms but isn’t a person” (hint: this is behind the sofa!). A clue for a younger child might be “Keep your eyes peeled near the shed”. Drawing a treasure map can also work really well.

It can be a good idea to keep a list of clues/answers for yourself in case something goes unsolved!

Make sure you have a prize handy for the first person to finish the treasure trail, and maybe some runner up prizes so no-one leaves disappointed or jealous. If you don't want to have a ton of prizes, you can give out awards at the end instead.
