THE London Launch

The Dress Up

THE London Launch

Whether it’s a wedding, christening or big birthday bash, we know so many of you have had to postpone or downsize your parties. And you weren’t alone, at Roco, we couldn’t wait to share the news of our Vogue x Roco collaboration, and (at last!) unpause the party to bring style back in full swing!

What better way to celebrate the end of lockdown (again!) than a London launch party to celebrate the release of our collaboration collection with Vogue Williams. From venue dressing, baby dressing and celeb obsessing, we’re giving you the lowdown on all the looks, laughs and most-liked outfits from our launch event with Vogue Williams.

VENUE

Having drawn so many inspirations from authentic baby dressing and chic London style, hosting in the city was important to pay homage to the fashion capital. We shortlisted so many sensational venues but the Menier Penthouse had our heart, as it gave our team the option to put our own stamp on the set-up. Our creative team worked their magic to transform the venue into a wedding-worthy setting. From neon lights to centre-pieces, photo opportunities to favours- be sure to check back for our next blog for top tips when dressing a venue (and child!) for a christening, wedding or other occasion.

SUPPLIERS

We sourced a local restaurant (Lantana Café) to tantalise our tastebuds with a bespoke menu that combined all the foods we’d missed in lockdown (hands up who has been craving their favourite dish) but chose @theancoatsflorist from over 180 miles away because of her jaw-dropping arrangements. Choosing suppliers that you love and work well with is essential to help ease the stress of any big day. Let us know any suppliers you’ve used for your big event in the comments below, as we’re always on the look out to support independent suppliers!

GUEST LIST

We empathise with all those brides that have had to downsize their big day, as when it came to our guest list it was so hard to short list our favourite celebs, influencers and parent bloggers. But the most special guests were our competition winners. The entry nominations were overwhelming and we wish we could have invited all our hardworking entrants, but our winners were two sisters from Ireland who both worked for the NHS throughout the pandemic. It was an honour to share in our celebrations with these lovely ladies.

Ferne McCann came to make a toast to her friend’s first collection.

Meanwhile, Katie Piper looked unreal in the chicest orange suit, channelling all the daretobedifferent vibes we promote with our own ever-growing girls suiting range.

Our followers spied her favourite pieces Margaux and Lulu being worn on a family day out, proving every day is a dress-up day!

BEST BITS

During our Q&A, Vogue shared her best bits from the design process, which included highlights from fabric selections to seeing the garments come to life in her photoshoot. With Theodore and Gigi the perfect ambassadors of her new collection, we’ve seen them dressed in all the babywear pieces, but think they look extra adorable in their namesake outfits.

Not forgetting the ultimate best bit of any party…. the goodie bag (who votes we bring these pack for grown-up parties?!). To pamper our parents, we filled it with face masks from Skinrepublic, illuminating products from Iconic London and Vogue included her fabulous fake tan which goes on like a dream (I mean have you seen her glow!). To help shop the style, our lookbook has all the details of every dress, suit and romper, with exclusive shots from our photoshoot with Vogue.
